This years piksel festival (12 - 15 October 2006, Bergen, Norway) hosts a fantastic group of artists and programmers. 4 days of workshops, performances and presentations and an exhibition on the exploration of audiovisual code, FLOSS and open hardware.

A fantastic addition to the festival is the xxxxx seminar on open hardware, the 13th and 14th of October, with as guests: Wilfried Hou Je Bek, Martin Howse, Jonathan Kemp, Aymeric Mansoux, Bruno Marchal, Otto Roessler, Tom Schouten, Marloes de Valk, Eva Verhoeven, and Valentina Vuksic.

This year Piksel hosts a wide variety of GOTO10 projects: the workshop “Go Forth!” on how to build a cheap synth from scratch using CAT/PURRR, presentations on Desire Data, pure:dyne, make art festival, and metabiosis and performances of Tom Schouten (sheepsint), Aymeric Mansoux (EtHerz, sheepsint and 0xa), Jan-Kees van Kampen (bl0bj0b with Fokke de Jong), Chun Lee (0xa), Marloes de Valk (d_u_w and sheepsint).
